  • American Photo magazine, in an anniversary issue commemorating the most important photographers and work in the magazine’s history, included Miguel’s story on Brazilian youths who “surf” the tops of electric commuter trains in Rio de Janeiro. He was featured alongside Annie Leibovitz, Eugene Richards, Robert Mapplethorpe, Hiro, James Nachtwey, Margaret Bourke-White, and other masters of photography.
